Whoa, Nelly! I keep thinking things can’t get more interesting and then the next day or week I am surprised again. Maybe I need to pay more attention to Astrologers?
Last week I was particularly intrigued by the above photo and all that I read about the eruption of Kilauea last Thursday. The Earth has opened up other places too but this is the only place I am aware of where magma is spewing out of the crack. I’m totally facinated. This is how Uranus moving into Taurus shows up.
Earlier in the year, I mentioned the upcoming end of Uranus’s transit through Aries, his move into Taurus, and how this could affect us and the Earth. We are so close to Uranus’ actual move from sign to sign that we can almost taste it. I think certainly we are already experiencing it. Uranus is currently in the 29th degree of Aries and any astrologer will tell you this is a very powerful degree.
The other two things we should keep in mind are that Uranus rules weather and Taurus is an earth sign. Add to this the effects the Sun’s energy and her geomagnetic storms have on us and you have a recipe for some interesting, even catastrophic earth changes. I will end today’s post with more on the solar wind.
Evidence of this significant change has been showing up in increased earthquake activity across the globe and especially in what is known as the “ring of fire”. There are also a few places where the Earth seems to be splitting apart, like the 50 ft deep and 65 ft wide split a few months ago in Kenya. It seemed to happen overnight.
I am in no way predicting what will happen. What I am saying is that the energy is right for major weather, Earth, and social changes to take place. Historically speaking, the last time Uranus transited Taurus was 1934-1942. This was during the great depression and WWII and the drought of the 1930’s.
This drought came in three waves, 1934,1934, and 1939-1940 and created huge dust storms that caused major ecological and agricultural damage, leaving thousands struggling to live and feed their families. I will circle back around to the Earth and the solar winds near the end of this post. Now here is the astro forecast for this week. And boy! Is there is a lot going in this week?
Today, Sunday, May 6. 2018, the Sun semi-squares Chiron. This energy stimulates us to learn by experience and from others. Some will feel blocked by their lack of confidence or the fear of not fitting in. Isn’t that usually the case?
The Sun will also aspect Neptune today. Intuition could be strong, our antennae are up, we are tuned in, and our instincts are mostly correct. This energy supports self-improvement, good judgment, and the ability to see things from a different perspective.
Venus is semi-square Uranus. Dear Uranus can cause us to make choices of people or things outside the lines of what we might normally choose. This energy is rebellious and therefore could cause some relationship upsets. Venus loves being beautiful but avoid beauty treatments today or you might get less than desirable results.
Monday Mercury squares Pluto. This can be troublesome due to the tendency toward suspicion, or the tendency to exaggerate things.
Venus is in square aspect to Neptune. This represents a relationship roller coaster. The highs are exciting but the lows are exhausting. Use caution so that you don’t set yourself up for a disappointment. Finances could experience some of the same. Use caution so that you don’t fall into a money pit. Venus is looking for pleasure but Neptune is blurring the lines.
Tuesday the Sun opposes Jupiter. Here is another conflict or hard aspect we perhaps need to treat with caution. Jupiter wants us to go big and indulge. We might overestimate, however. There might also be some surprise changes in something we are working on or any plans we are making.
Wednesday Venus aspects Jupiter. Venus loves to feel good and Jupiter expands that desire. This is like having champagne tastes with beer pocketbooks. There could also be some relationship differences as expectations are blown out of proportion. Finding the happy medium between gratification and responsibility is tough.
Fast forward to Friday when the Sun is trine Pluto. Pluto wants us to go deep into ourselves and discover what is really going on with us so we can let go of the negative or things that no longer serve us right. The energy is very focused and our ability to concentrate is strong. This is a good day for leadership, starting a new project, and connecting with other people who share our interests.
Saturday, Venus aspects Pluto. This is a time to review our close relationships and our social lives. Beware because power plays can crop up, along with jealousy or the fear of loss.
The last aspect of this week is Mercury square Mars and this is sure to keep us on our toes. Whenever these two planets aspect each other you can expect action and fireworks of some sort. This aspect is likely to express with impatience, haste, or arguments. Leave any new project until later and if possible, cancel any meetings. Conversation, in general, might be difficult today. Think long and hard before you speak so that you don’t hurt someone’s feelings or cause some sort of upset.
Now as I said earlier, I am circling back to the solar storms. The Earth was hit by the latest round of solar wind just yesterday (5/5/218) and scientist are saying it will continue today and tomorrow due to the large size of the coronal holes. How does the solar wind affect the Earth you might ask? This is what NASA has to say about it:
“It affects it by the intense clouds of high energy particles that it often contains which are produced by solar storms. When these clouds, called coronal mass ejections, make their way to the Earth in 3-4 days, they collide with the magnetic field of the Earth and cause it to change its shape. The particles then leak through the magnetic field of the Earth, particularly near the north and south poles, and cause still more changes to the magnetic field of the Earth, this time at even lower altitudes closer to the ground. These changes can produce many problems with electrical equipment. The way on which solar wind ‘plasma’ invades the Earth’s magnetic field and seeps into the inner regions where the van Allen radiation belts are located, is not very well known. Also, in the direction opposite the Sun, the Earth’s magnetic field is pulled way out into interplanetary space making it look like a comet. In this ‘geotail’ region many different electrical disturbances take place that can accelerate particles to very high speeds and energies. All of this is made much more violent by the solar wind, especially the storm clouds that the Sun launches our way from time to time!”
Did you catch the part about this causing electrical problems? This energy can also have strong effects on our all our planet’s inhabitants. One day there might be a storm large enough and powerful enough to disable our electrical grid in a big way. During recent storms, I know some people in some parts of the world have experienced disturbances with cellphones, radio reception, and internet connections.
This type of energy or its effects is not new. Solar energy caused the telegraphs to down in the 1880’s. You can read more about that here: https://www.history.com/news/a-perfect-solar-superstorm-the-1859-carrington-event
Lastly but certainly not leastly (is that a word?), I want to thank all my new followers for choosing to follow this blog. I know lots of people read it via FaceBook or other sources but unless someone hits the “like” button on FB or the follow button in WordPress, I never know it is seen.
The past 4-6 weeks there has been a noticeable increase in WP followers. This means a great deal to me. Welcome aboard and please feel free to comment anytime. It seems I don’t often see a comment for days sometimes. Trust that I will get back to you as soon as I can.
Wishing you all a great week full of smiles, love and laughter. Please remember to be kind and smile. It makes us all feel so much better.
