Baby, it’s cold outside.
This week I have decided to put the days of the week and aspects first. Just for grins and giggles. I would be curious to know how you feel about this.
Today the Sun is halfway through transiting Aquarius. The Sun is joined by two of our swiftest planets touring that are also touring this sign. The third one, Mars, remains in Sagittarius until March 18. And guess what? There are no major planets in retrograde.
Ceres, considered an asteroid, is retrograde now. This is not a good thing for relationships, especially those of a co-dependent nature. This retrograde is best used for going inward and working on loving yourself more. Don’t we all need to do this? I sure do. Fulfilling your own needs will hopefully encourage others to follow you. In turn, you will be decreasing their dependency on you.
The next planet that goes retrograde is Jupiter and this won’t happen until March 26, 2018, so we have a good time yet of, forward movement. Remember that Jupiter rules the 8th house of other people’s money and sex. This might mean more from the Me Too movement and perhaps the stock market. It could also deal with inheritance.
Mercury is in his next to last week transiting Aquarius. He moves into Pisces February 17. While he is in Aquarius we might find we are drawn to thinking in more abstract and creative or out of the box ways than we normally do. The best part might be that our thoughts are more positive and objective than they might have been when Mercury was transiting Capricorn.
Venus leaves Aquarius at the end of this week. We have had a fast few weeks of our relationships being a touch more unorthodox. At the same time, social relationships have been more freedom-seeking. This is definitely an Aquarian trait.
Mars continues to transit Sagittarius until St. Patrick’s Day. This energy is about how our ideals influence what we do and how we act. We could feel a bit figgety and be needing a change of scenery. Other might need a really good adventure or some sort. However, our ability to complete a project we started is not so good. Instead, we will likely abandon whatever we start.
Uranus is winding up his time in Aries and moving into Taurus. He has already shown signs that this shift will be crazy with earth related events. At least that is what I am predicting. I will probably have more on this as we get closer to Uranus actually changing signs.
Today, as I said earlier, the Sun is halfway through Aquarius. Venus is also square Jupiter. This square energy could lead some of us to overdo in a variety of areas. Watch out for overeating, drinking, or spending. Yes! We often forget that Venus deals with money and finances. We tend to think more along the lines of love and romance. That being said, overstating one’s feelings could be another thing in the overindulgence department that we want to watch out for.
No major aspects for Monday.
Tuesday Venus is sextile Uranus. This will be a great day for meetings, events or anything that treats others with equality and respect. Feeling bold and fearless, we might step out of our comfort zone today when it comes to things in the finance or romance department. This is not, however, a good time to commit to anything in either area. If you just have to spend some money, this is a good time to buy electronics or other technology. It is also a good time for group activities, the arts, the internet, and metaphysics.
Wednesday Mercury is semi-square Chiron. Mercury always deal with communications and travel. Today folks are likely to be careless with their words and end up hurting someone’s feelings when they didn’t intend to. Think before you speak is almost always a good choice, even more so today.
Thursday, no major aspects.
Friday the Sun is semi-square Saturn. The ego wants to be heard today. (Remember this one when you watch the news this weekend.) Saturn pushes us forward if we or the ego begin to feel discouraged. Don’t let any of this get to you if this happens to affect you strongly.
Saturday Venus moves into Pisces
Saturday also brings the Sun square Jupiter. This is restless energy and I think I am already feeling this one. Jupiter is expanding our desires and maybe just a bit too much. Be careful not to overestimate or exaggerate things. Our moods could be all over the place and not so well grounded. This is creative energy if you use it that way, so try to do that and enjoy it!
Next week we have another eclipse in Aquarius. This will be a solar eclipse but not seen in our part of the world. That has nothing to do with us feeling it.
Eclipse energy can last up to a year and often show us things we need to change both personally and collectively. With the eclipse in Aquarius, our lessons will be on the collective, friends, and what we wish and hope for. To me, this is just one more event that will propel us toward our evolution.
Eclipses can seem good or bad depending on where they fall in your natal chart. If you don’t have your own chart you can do that for free at Astro.com.This is a great site for all sorts of info. I will warn you that it can it can be a bit overwhelming at first. In fact, After 20 yrs of using it, I still find it mind-blowing.
Knowing where an eclipse hits your chart can be informative. You could discover both endings and beginnings. However, Solar eclipses tend to show us more beginnings than ending while Lunar eclipses deal more with endings. So you can pretty much bet the farm that something new comes to light of day for you with this coming eclipse.
I think that is it for today. Wishing everyone a great week ahead. Don’t forget to smile and be kind to everyone you meet. You never know what troubles they may have in their life and smile or kind word could be just what they need at the moment.
