WOW! So much going on now! Fires, floods, hurricanes, earthquakes, and I am sure I am missing some stuff. Folks everywhere are wondering why these things are happening. There are many theories.
Some say it is because several natural cycles are converging and rolling into each other at the same time. Others blame global warming or think the Earth is balancing the new energies that have and are continuing to come in. Still, others blame geo-engineering and weather tampering. Regardless of the cause, this is all part of our evolutionary process. It’s not easy at all but it is necessary.
Regardless of the cause, big things are happening right now and they all have me in descriptive word overload. So much so that I turned off my phone on Friday and have stayed away from all social media and news for the most part. I will admit to the occasional moment of curiosity that causes me to cave in and check out the latest weather news my favorite meteorologist. However, I am limiting this to no more than once or twice a day.
The Sun is also adding to the energy mix today. One of my apps sent me a notification that there is an increased risk of earthquakes today and tomorrow. The past couple of days there have been well over 40 quakes in the Oaxaca region of Mexico with a magnitude of between 4.2 and 5.7. And as if Puerto Rico has not had enough natural events in the past few days, they had two small (<3.0) quakes today.
Astrologically this week, Mercury has just entered Virgo. Mercury is about how we communicate and deal with information. Virgo is one of the two signs Mercury rules. Since we are just coming out of a Mercury retrograde, this placement could not be more welcomed or balancing. Virgo makes everything Mercury work more efficiently and you may notice this change in your own communications for the next few days.
Virgo is also about what we do every day, our routine, health, organization and the need for it. The recent Full Moon was in Virgo. That brought us polarity in Pisces which adds spirituality to this Virgo energy. This is asking us to pay attention to how we balance all these parts of our lives. I’ve already said that I have reduced my information intake to some extent. Perhaps you have had to do the same or do something in order to maintain your own balance?
Mercury’s transit through Virgo will bring about more precise communications. Use caution not to be too harsh with folks. Many of us are already stressed out enough. When you find your frustrations rising, stop what you are doing and take a deep breath. Chill out and take a more heart centered path.
Venus is about to wind up her transit of Leo. It has been a nice transit and we do have more than another week to feel pride in our love life and feel all warm hearted. Even if you aren’t in a relationship, this transit has probably been beneficial in general as you found new things to be passionate about, including yourself. That is a GOOD thing!
Mars entered Virgo on September 5, 2017. Once Venus joins the Sun, Mercury, and Mars, we will have a stellium in Virgo for a short time. That is going to be a lot of Virgo energy. I only hope I am able to take full advantage of it as I continue to organize and purge my things.
Mars in Virgo brings a real feeling for detail and drive to do our work to our best ability. The shadow side is that we start splitting hairs or are overly concerned about the execution of our duties. Relax, it will all come out in the wash.
Tuesday we find Venus and Saturn have moved into trine aspect. If you are looking for drama and commitment, this is the day. Thursday and Friday will be much better days for Venus and good for making connections and socializing.
Wednesday Saturn will square the Sun. The good news is that this frustrating transit does not last long. This s good because we won’t have long to endure any tension that arises between our responsibilities and what we desire to do. If we ignore our duties, we will pay a price.
Friday, Venus is sextile Jupiter. This is a positive aspect. This is a happy transit full of cooperation and feeling considerate toward others. There might be some romance or opportunity for some good self-care in there too. The energy will be great for financial undertakings but don’t go too crazy with spending. Do enjoy any entertaining and socializing you have planned.
Saturday Mercury will join up with Mars. This conjunction will provide good energy for any mental work you need to do. If you find yourself needing to make a fast decision take your time making it. You don’t want to make a mistake by being coming to a decision too fast. I realize this is often good advice for us but during this transit, it will be even more important to make decisions with great thought.
The shadow side of this transit is a sharp tongue. Some of us are more prone in general to cutting words that others. This transit can make the best of us regret saying something. Also be careful when driving. (This is one of my pet peeves anyway.) The last point is that this transit can cause our nervous systems to be over-stimulated. I for one will be paying close attention to this aspect.
That is this week in a nut shell. We have an interesting opposition coming up later this month between Jupiter and Uranus. I will be talking more about this in later posts. Until then, stay safe and remember to be kind to others. We are all part of one family, the human family!
