Yay! Mars is now direct! Can you feel the shift in energy? Things should begin to move faster in the coming days as he gains speed and gets back to business as usual. But……Wow! What a week last week was. I have said it before and I will say it again, I believe we will be seeing more and more events like the explosion in Istanbul, Turkey last week. A quick search pulled up this page that lists various attacks around the globe. There is one nearly everyday. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_terrorist_incidents,_January%E2%80%93June_2016

There sure is a lot going on with a very few planets this week.

Saturn in Sagittarius is really taking us through our paces; bringing us face to face with tradition and religion. You can see is all over this country and others. This is one reason we seem to be regressing instead of progressing. This will end in another 18 months. Saturn will enter Capricorn on Dec. 19, 2017. I’m not sure Capricorn will be a great deal better but it will be different energy for sure.

This week we have a New Moon coinciding with the Nation’s 240th birthday. This doesn’t happen very often. A New Moon represent new beginnings. My take on this? The US in for a lot of new things in this next year. One of them is obviously a new president but what else will be new? I am expecting only good things but there is always some rain that falls too.

As you probably know, this is the year of the fire Monkey. This can mean some monkey business too. As I browse the news today. The mud slinging and criminal charges are the charging emotions of many. Monkey business? I am not sure. You don’t need me to tell you this is the most off the wall election year in history. Throw in the unknown ripples caused by the Brexit, and the speculators have loads to speculate on.

9f45bf9196c646591cda16450981c090Saturn is square Neptune all week. Saturn is about rules, regulations and structure. Neptune pretty much has the opposite effect and is known to bring delusional and confusing and confusing energy. The lord of the seas is more into washing things away. Tearing down all that we hold firm. This means change and you know how difficult change is for us humans. These two planets are also in mutable or changeable signs, adding to the change energy.

The self help gurus have tried to guide us for decades in hopes of helping us to better deal with the inevitable changes ahead. Perhaps you read Eckhart Tolle’s books, studied Buddhism, meditation, or any number of other authors and systems. If so, then you know the most important thing is to be in this moment right now and find joy in all things.

Experience the words you are reading and how they are hitting your gut. Those that don’t feel good are the one you could leave alone. I liken it to eating watermelon. Just eat the good stuff and spit out the seeds. In the coming months and years there is sure to be a lot doing on that you and I won’t agree with. Everything has its place in the world even as much as we wish some things didn’t exist. It is all part of the duality of the third dimension and it is all in perfect order.

Today Pluto is opposing the Moon, Sun, Venus and Mercury. Pluto is in Capricorn, a sign ruled by Saturn. Pluto also enjoys tearing things down. His mission is to do what has to be done. When things get to the point of no return, Pluto steps in and takes charge. This planet has had a prominent influence on us since about 2008 and he is not finished yet. In some ways he may just be starting.

Pluto’s influence has recently been seen in the Brexit vote and the Buenos Aires zoo closing. Perhaps it is just an astrologer’s point of view. Folks who remain attached to tradition will likely not be able to see how this fits. That is quite alright. Don’t worry about it. It is all good and you are where you need to be for now.

Pluto opposed the Sun takes us into who we are, what we need to destroy and let go of. The opposition to Venus is taking us face to face with our beliefs around money, creativity, relationships, and love. If you are reexamining your priorities, this could be why.

Pluto opposed Mercury it all about how we communicate. What do we need to change here? How can we improve on effectively communicating with others?

Wednesday Venus and Mars, both in water signs, transit into a balancesweet trine. Mars likes action so this will be somewhat stimulating. Co-operation will be high among most of us and our relationships could find more balance. Wednesday we will also see the perfection of the Mercury Sun conjunction and their opposition to Pluto. Look for any planets in your chart that are around the 15 degree mark. This is likely where you will see the influence of this aspect.

Thursday through Saturday Uranus moves to square Venus, and Mars squares the Moon while Uranus trines the Moon. Besides messing with our view on relationships, this will also play with our sense of independence. This could be exaggerated by some world event like the one yesterday in Baghdad. We won’t know until we know will we?

Of course these transits will hit those of us hardest when they aspect something in our natal chart. I need to take a deeper look this week at how this is going affect me. These transits are definitely triggering some things in my chart. Venus us almost on top of my natal Uranus and the transiting Mars has just past my natal Mars. I have been rather introspective lately but I am not sure if that is due to the planets or the books I am currently reading.

The Cancer energy will be quite strong this week, with three of our four personal planets in Cancer and all trine to our fourth planet, Mars which is in harmony with the Moon. This Cancer energy will get some help from a sextile aspect with Jupiter.

Cancer1The symbol of Cancer is the crab. The crab has a tough outer shell, claws and walks sideways. Crabs are known for standing firm in their own defense. It doesn’t matter if they are right or wrong as much as it does that they stand firm and protect their turf. They may have a hard time letting go of what they need to let go of but they are adept at the sideways dance to dodge the fallout.

If will be interesting to see how the collective planets of destruction and freedom, or Pluto and Uranus influence all this Cancer energy this week. My gut tells me the fire works won’t be over with the end of the 4th of July holiday.

Before I go, I want to remind you about the Juno spacecraft arrival at Jupiter. This will is the destination of the ship’s five year journey toward the planet. Here is a link to read more about it and get info right from NASA.
