We have arrived at a point in time Astrologers and prophets have long viewed as a pivotal time in our history. Internationally known astrologer Susan Miller, says this April is so scary that she is giving classes on it. No matter what happens, the only way we will know if anyone was right or wrong will certainly be after the fact. It is a personal choice as to how we address this information. This Cardinal Grand Cross has many facets so there is a lot to cover and even more to understand. I will only try to hit some key points for you in this post. I invite you to do your own research to learn more about what astrologers are predicting.
Given what I am reading in the national and international news, and the harsh weather news, I feel like the astrological forecast I have read on the future are on target so far. The intense aspects of the Cardinal Grand Cross are just beginning to take shape in the sky but we must remember that we are affected by their energy even before they actually take form. The housing market crash of 2008 was one of the first big indications of the current energy and there are many more like the weather. No doubt you have noticed this winter has been quite different from past years. Records have been broken all over the place.
Today, April 2, 2014 as I write this, the weather for my area has been sunny and near 85 degrees. This is typical Aries weather, warm and dry. Let’s not forget that Uranus is transiting Aries and this means quick change. Uranus is unstable, cold and dry. He is often the one who brings cold waves in the summer time and is known to break records. Uranus is currently opposing Mars in Libra. Libra is also cool but Mars is hot. So we have cool, hot, warm, dry, but where is the wet? This is April and I expect showers for flowers.
Wet can come from Taurus, Cancer, Capricorn and Pisces. The watery planets are Venus, Saturn and Neptune. So let’s take a look at where all the wet guys are in the sky this spring.
There are no planets transiting Taurus until the Sun changes signs the day after Easter. The Moon will join the Sun in Taurus a bit over a week later so we won’t get much water from the Taurus energy right now. But we do have Pluto in Capricorn and I bet he has his eye on some dirt he would like to wash away so we can see things more clearly.
Jupiter, the planet that loves to bring us bigger and more is in Cancer. I would hope this meant more rain in the drought areas like California but it seems like they will only get more dry conditions. Uranus in one corner of this grand cross anything can happen weather wise. Then again, anything can happen on anytime and anywhere Uranus is triggered.
Neptune is in his home sign of Pisces the rest of this year. He will go retrograde this summer. I will cover that closer to that time.
Neptune in Pisces can mean lots of water. We’ve already seen a wet winter in some areas but deathly dry in others. I remember a couple of summers ago when there was a lot of activity involving Neptune. There could be a repeat this spring as well as lots of big tornados and wind shear damage thanks to the additional energy of the Cardinal Grand Cross.
Pluto is triggering Capricorn’s watery side and bringing destruction by water to some areas of the planet. Jupiter is opposing Capricorn could magnify this. Lots of weather potential there. And don’t forget both are part of the Cardinal Grand Cross this month as well.
Weather is not all that we could be looking at now. Astrologers have been anticipating this period of time for years, even decades. Many have gone back in history to discover what was going on in the world the last time there was Cardinal Grand Cross. And if there wasn’t enough big energy with the cross, let’s add a lunar eclipse to mix.
Yes! On April 15th there will be a lunar eclipse. This will be the first in a series of four total eclipses and four blood moons. Historically these celestial events have been considered harbingers of doom. They are believed to foretell of devastation, a rulers’ demise, plague, failed crops and war. They fascinate old and young to wonder about the vastness of our world. Many including the astrological community have long believed eclipses are connected to personal and political cycles of change. They are thought herald challenges ahead and significant turning points in all aspects of our lives and our world.
This is eclipsed moon will also be what is known as a “blood moon”. It will look red to us. This is because of where it is in the relationship to the earth and the sun and refraction of light on its surface. Blood moon’s are mentioned in Bible prophesy. A blood moon is also thought to coincide with the Jewish holidays of Passover and Sukkot or Feast of Tabernacles. Interesting since the Jewish calendar is lunar based.
Mars will also be bright and visible in the sky close to the Moon on the night of the 15th. Mars is one leg of the cross as I have discussed so this means the Moon’s energy will magnify that of the Cardinal Grand cross. The Moon will also be in opposition to the Sun on that night. Our emotions arguing with our ego, or needs verses want. Expand this out and view it from the macro cosmism. Needless to say the world and local news is going to be interesting for a while to come no matter what you believe.
I realize I have talked a lot about the Cardinal Grand Cross but have not really explained it at all. The term “Grand Cross” refers to four planets that are 90 degrees apart from each other in the sky. This can also be seen as two pairs of opposites that are 90 degrees apart.
All signs are either cardinal fixed or mutable. The cardinal signs are Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn. The word cardinal comes from the Latin word for “hinge”. These cardinal signs mark the movement or change the four seasons. Aries is the first sign of spring, Cancer is summer, Libra is fall, and Capricorn is the first sign of winter.
Fixed signs are set and not subject to change. Mutable signs are subject to change. This Grand Cross is in cardinal signs and thus the name. There are also fixed and mutable Grand Crosses but they have different types of energy.
Each of the signs in the zodiac relates to an elements and quadruplicate. The four elements are fire, earth, water and air. The four signs involved represent the four elements of fire (Aries), water (Cancer), air (Libra), and earth (Capricorn). This particular cross long lived thanks to the slow moving planets Pluto, Uranus, and Jupiter. Mars moves more rapidly than these other three but he is much slower now thanks to his being retrograde.
I will stop here for now and let you chew on this for a little while. I have the rest written but this whole thing ended up being over 2,000 words. I don’t want to over whelm you. It’s enough that I am overwhelmed.
