You may or may not know that I am not really an astrologer. I am just someone who is really interested in this science and sees the connection between astrology and everything else. Last year I decided I wanted to learn more and figured the only way to do this for free was to write about it. My first past on astrology was one year ago and my first weekly forecast was one month later. I sure have learned a lot this year. One thing in particular has been learning to look deeper in to the natal chart and transits. (At this point my real astrologer friends are sighing “well duh!”.)

By now you certainly know that there is a lot of talk about the U.S. sending the military to Syria. With this my thoughts went to the birth chart of the country. It is birth data is commonly considered to be July 4, 1776 at 5:10 pm, Philadelphia, PA. I pulled up the chart and current transits. While I cannot interpret all of it, t a few things did hit me.

constellation-CapricornThe first thing I noticed was that Pluto was in Capricorn in 1776 and it is now too. Capricorn is split between the first house of the ego or self and the second house of money and possessions. Pluto is also opposite the country’s natal Cancer Sun in the seventh house of marriage and partnerships. Oppositions mean the two planets are not communicating. Could this be why we are seeing so many laws being passed that conflict the Constitution? I’m going to make an uneducated guess and say YES!

I found this interesting article on Pluto in Capricorn  http://www.stariq.com/Main/Articles/P0008466.HTM

This week starts off with Mercury leaving Virgo early Monday morning and moving into Libra. Mercury in Libra is fair and will listen to both sides before speaking or acting. This could also mean we will know instantly what the right decision is or we could be very indecisive and trying to please others. I hope this extends to congress and the powers that be across this country and the world. I’m counting on Libra’s love of balance. On the other hand with Mercury visiting three different signs this month nothing is for certain and long term commitments are probably not the best idea this month. Hope the fall wedding you had planned is for after September. I just wish I was good enough to tell you when a good time might be.

Mercury will be opposing Uranus on Wednesday this week. This could counter act the influence Libra has on Mercury and bring up the some stuff we had rather not deal with. I know lots of us will be involved in memorials relating to the 911 tragedy so be aware of how you feel and remember fear is not productive. Be grateful for the lessons and the love we have experienced instead. Gratitude is much more productive.

Mars in Leo

Mars squares Saturn on Monday. By day’s end you could wish you had stayed in bed. Mars will be causing Saturn a good deal of frustration and taking him out of his comfort zone. Saturn, if you remember is in charge of rules and regulations and Mars is the part of us that fights back.

The end of the week Mars in Leo will be trine Uranus in Aries. Don’t be surprised if there are some quick changes to things worldwide or in your own life.

Venus is leaving her comfy home of Libra and moving to uncomfortable Scorpio on Wednesday. There she will join up with Saturn for the next three weeks. You would think that these two girls would have a great time together but Venus is into scorpio-jpeg boostattracting people and getting what she wants. Scorpio on the other hand is quiet, private and feels things deeply. Passions sizzle with sensuality. Our relationships are essential and Scorpio energy is intense. She will take conflict as long as she can but be sure that when Scorpio is done? She will sting you! Venus likes to have fun and Scorpio is more possessive. Our relationships could be more up and down than usual during this Venus transit.

This whole month is sprinkled with lots of strong aspects. Many planets have something to say and want to be heard. These conversations will be difficult ones and a few probably will be downright nasty. There will be two Grand Crosses this month and both will be Cardinal and pushing us to create in the physical. Both Grand Crosses will involve that rebellious, quick changing Uranus in Aries and the Pluto the planet of transformation and contrasts in Capricorn, the sign of the status quo. Oh My!

All of the outer planets are in the signs they are going to be in for the rest of the year and even years ahead. Both Uranus and Neptune are retrograde. Neptune will turn direct after mid November and Uranus will follow after mid December.

Uranus Retro grade sends us inside ourselves to deal with what is there. Uranus loves freedom and independence but also realizes that we cannot be personally bankruptcymonopoly4free until we deal with the skeletons in our closets. Uranus Retrograde wants us to dig deep down to the root cause of our victimhood and deal with it. We can’t progress until we do. When it comes to real transformation this is almost and “Do Not Pass Go, Do Not Collect $200” sort of thing.

I laugh as I write and learn more and more about how the planets influence who I am, my life and why things probably happen the way they do. Astrology does not negate my freewill choices. There is a divine order to things and a plan. We can fight this divine plan and do things our own way. We may struggle and we may not but we won’t progress on our path of evolution unless we go with the flow of it all. Astrology can help us take advantage of all the resources the divine source of all has given us. We are a stubborn lot and often fail to see what is right in front of us. Being in control is just too much a part of the human belief system. But, when we get right down it, life is ALL about choice is it not? I hope there is some small bit of info contained in these posts each week that helps you make a better choice. Hopefully that choice will be the best one you can make this week toward your divine evolution. If not then I hope you learn what ever lesson the week presents to you.
